University of Novi Sad is one of the largest educational and scientific centers in Central Europe. Currently, university is the second largest state university in Serbia and the region, and the headquarters of the University of Novi Sad are in the central campus on the banks of the Danube, near the famous Petrovaradin fortress, built in the 18th century, and the old city center. Not far from the headquarters of the University is the Faculty of Technical Sciences, as well as many other faculties (Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education and the Institute of Food Technology).

Faculty of Technical Sciences is one of the most modern organized higher education institutions in the region with 55 years of tradition. In 1960, college became an integral part of the University of Novi Sad. Since then, Faculty of Technical Sciences has developed into one of the largest faculties in South Eastern Europe with more than 11,000 students and 1,200 employees. Surface of the faculty occupies 30,000 sqm, and has 7 of its buildings. Within the faculty there are 13 departments with the study program of undergraduate, master, doctoral and specialist studies, as well as a program of research doctoral thesis. All degree programs are accredited and include technical and technological segment, mathematical and natural sciences, art and medicine through interdisciplinary studies.

Graphic Engineering and Design is one of the youngest departments at the Faculty of Technical Sciences. It was founded in 1999 as a new educational profile, and has achieved remarkable educational results and caused great interest in its study programs. Studies of graphic engineering and design are unique in our country, and include interdisciplinary study courses in the field of graphic engineering and design, but also some of the basic sciences such as computer sciences, electronics, electrical engineering, communications, management and economy. Graphic technology is studied in technical, technological, aesthetic and economic sense through the subjects focused on technologies of reproduction and printing, design of all kinds of graphic products, production of multimedia content (images, graphics, animations, video and audio sequences), packaging production etc.
Novi Sad, located on the banks of the Danube River, is very beautiful and warm city that captivates with its hospitality, openness and honesty. It represents the cultural, university and economic center of Vojvodina, and is also known as multinational, multicultural and multi-religious metropolis where differences are seen as an advantage. The most famous museums and galleries of the city are the Museum of Vojvodina, Novi Sad City Museum, Museum of the labor movement and social revolution, Matica Srpska and Gallery of Pavle Beljanski. Novi Sad is a city short but rich history, interesting people and events in which in the early 20th century, Albert Einstein lived with his wife Mileva Maric-Einstein. Today's most popular trademark of Novi Sad is EXIT music festival, which takes place at the Petrovaradin fortress.

On the right bank of the Danube is Petrovaradin, jewel of Baroque architecture, which was built at the same time as the Petrovaradin Fortress, from 1692 to 1780. Novi Sad City Museum, Historical Archive of Novi Sad, as well as the part of the Academy of Arts of the University and numerous art galleries, workshops, restaurants and cafes are located at the fortress, which represents a civilian and cultural treasure of the city. The famous clock tower on the lookout is one of the symbols of Novi Sad.

If you move on from Petrovaradin, towards Fruška Gora, you will come to Sremski Karlovci known for its high school, seminary and the famous vineyards and wine cellars. Fruška Gora is usually called "Small Holy Mountain" because of the famous monasteries (Krušedol, Hopovo, Grgeteg ...) built in the time of the Great migration of the Serbs.
