COMPUTER TO PLATE – A CHALLENGE
Abstract:
Digital procesing of flexo plates is more and more in use today. Development of YAG and additional lasers and heigher number of plates has contributed to the trend of increasing usage. Different plates, lasers and laser settings can lead to different transfer of halftone dots values non the plate itself. There is even more shortage of standardisation here at the digital flexo plate processing) then in the conventional printing. BASF recomends its own digiflex test file as contribution to the control and standartisation of flexo plate processing.

MAINTENANCE QUALITY AND REENGINEERING IN GRAPHICAL INDUSTRY
Abstract:
The last ten years of the previous century have been named the transition period for the Eastern European Countries, both in our country and in the world. In fact, it is a period which can be simply described as "paradigm change". In this way, the graphical processes quality control extended to all company production processes and developed into the so called TQM, in the USA and Japan at first, and today in the developed countries as well.
Reengineering also enables inventing and introducing new, better solutions into any production or business process, production, maintenance and overall production processes.
In the circumstances of the post transitional period in which all the Eastern European Countries have entered in the beginning of the 21st century, reengineering of quality maintenance is seen as a possibility for transformed graphical companies for a more effective and efficient presentation in the global world market.

THE NOISE IN THE PRINTING-OFFICE
Abstract:
The problem of the noise in printing-office is usually discussed among the persons who are professional pressmen or are interested in this profession, but also of the citizians who live in the building or near the building where this office is settled. In this paper the investigations of the noise level in a printing-office which represents a ‘few-men-company’ are made. The methodology which is used for investigation is of extensive type. The questionnaire with a few questions is formed and the workers give their opinion about the noise in printing-office. They concluded that the noise has no influence on the quality of their work and also on thier healthy conditions. But, the measured effective value of the noise and the corresponding spectral analyses of the noise give other results. Namely, the measured data show that the noise is higher than the value which is given by lows and some restriction for noise may be introduced. The environmental problem does not exist.

YUGOSLAVIAN (SERBIAN) LATIN ALPHABET
Abstract:
After the breakdown of FRY and creation of republic Croatia, serbian language has remain without second type of letter; Serbo - Croatian latin alphabet, since UNESO has characterize this alphabet as exclusively croatian official letter. Result of that conclusion is that all scientific thesis and all literary property written on Serbo - Croatian latin alphabet belong to corpus of Croatian cultural inheritance.
Therefore first motive for creation of redesign serbian latin alphabet is final possibility that contains only one symbol (fonogram); this possibility was always avoided by croatian side. Second motive for creation of "new latin alphabet" is International communication, and third motive is "unique" obligation to all of the national minority and nation arise from mixed marriage ,wich with all respect of their rights classify themselfs as YUGOSLAVIAN people and prefer to use latin alphabet of SC - literary language.

PRINTING QUALITY
Abstract:
Densitometry has proven to be the ideal measuring technique for regulating colour in printing. After all, there is a direct relationship between the amount of ink applied and the corresponding density values measured on the printed sheet. MAN Roland was a pioneer in densitometric applications and even though the measuring devices, control methods and regulating algorithms have been permanently improved during the past 25 years, the principle itself has not changed. And its still the most effective way to achieve exact and reproducible results in four-colour printing.

DOT GAIN IN CONVENTIONAL OFFSET AND Non-Impact Printing
Abstract:
Transition from analog towards digital information production characterizes twentieth (20th) century. This transition has caused the emergence of digital machines in printing industry, which have made the processes of films and plates production sufficient. The size of the dot gain on the printed copy depends from the applied technology, as well as from transfer conditions of original tones values during the reproduction process. In certain phases, dot gain can vary in size and shape, i.e. deformities may occur, which can lead to unwanted results. The aim of this paper is to establish differences in the dot gain on the print, using the densitometrical measurements in conventional offset and digital non-impact printing.
